Educating Children Twelve Months through Kindergarten
NAEYC Accreditation
Emmanuel first received accreditation in 1988 from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the nation's oldest and largest organization of early childhood professionals.
NAEYC Accreditation involves an intensive self-study based on the Academy's Criteria for High Quality Early Childhood Programs. Each NAEYC accredited program must meet all 10 NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards.
EUMK has continually received re-accreditation from NAEYC throughout the years. In December 2007, EUMK was one of the first early childhood programs in Shelby County to receive re-accreditation under newer and stricter guidelines.
