WHY DOESN'T TUITION COVER EVERYTHING?

EUMK operates without any financial assistance from national or state government and relies solely on tuition fees and proceeds from fundraising to meet operating expenses.

The heart of the operating budget includes:
1.    Teachers' salaries and continuing education opportunities
2.    Educational materials expanding our Science, Spanish, Music, Handwriting, Math, and other curriculum
3.    Building maintenance, repairs, and supplies
4.    Good Samaritan Fund designed to help families in crisis
 
EUMK shares the building and maintenance costs with Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
With the rising costs of materials, maintenance, and unforeseen repairs, and while trying to keep teacher salaries somewhat competitive with other schools, the annual fund helps us to continue to provide quality education while keeping our tuition costs down.

HOW DOES THE ANNUAL FUND HELP TEACHERS?

The Annual Fund helps to fund attendance at conferences and workshops for teachers so they can keep abreast of all that is happening in the field of Early Childhood Education.

HOW DOES THE ANNUAL FUND HELP PARENTS?

Giving to the Annual Fund helps to keep tuition costs down and ensures that an Emmanuel education is accessible to an economically diverse population.

HOW DOES THE ANNUAL FUND HELP STUDENTS?

Annual Giving provides children with extras such as Spanish classes, a gym coordinator, and educational opportunities such as in-house field trips and exposure to a large variety of materials. Children also benefit from new ideas that teachers receive when they attend workshops and conferences which are largely available through annual fund donations.

HOW DO I CONTRIBUTE TO THE ANNUAL FUND?

You can contribute to the annual fund with check, cash, or credit card. You can make a pledge or give in honor or in memory of a loved one. Acknowledgements will be sent as well as receipts for your tax deductible donation.
